What is our Battle?
You are going to die—only God knows when, but we all know it’s coming. You will live, you will die, and you will be forgotten. So what are you going to do about it? You can ignore it, live for yourself, and lose everything. Or you can fight against the very thing that brought death into this world—sin.
Sin is rejecting what is good and right, choosing pride and selfishness over truth and love. It is, at its core, a rejection of God. He tells us what is good, but we choose our own way. The price for sin is death—the eternal separation from God that you chose in life. We are all guilty and deserving of judgment.
Good News: The Battle’s Already Won.
Jesus came to save sinners like you and me. He is the Son of God, the Creator of everything, yet He humbled Himself to live as a man. Unlike us, He lived without sin. He took our place, bore the wrath of God, and died for us. But He didn’t stay dead—He rose again, conquering sin and death, so all who trust in Him can have eternal life.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)
Will You Receive His Victory?
You will pass through death into eternity. The question is, will you follow Jesus into eternal life or continue in rebellion into eternal ruin?
One day, you will stand before God. If your plea is Jesus, you can say, “He has borne my guilt, and I bear it no more. He has suffered Your wrath. Justice has been paid, by Your mercy and His grace.” Is this your plea today? Tomorrow may be the day you stand before Him. Don’t fight a losing battle; He has already won.
